There have been so many great rockabilly women through the decades, they have come from all over the world and have all united with one common style. Rockabilly by definition was created around a certain style of music, so its no shock that many great rockabilly women are musicians.
Wanda Jackson, A.K.A. The Queen of Rockabilly. Nope I'm not joking she is considered to be the "Queen of Rockabilly"! Wanda Jackson became extremely popular in 1956 and has remained an iconic figure to this day, her last studio album was released in 1987 until 2003 when she began her come back. She released another album in 2006, but her rockabilly come back didn't reach its height until 2011when she teamed with musician/producer Jack White III. She released The Party Ain't Over and a live album. She is now 74 and still a popular active musician and true rockabilly royalty!
