I was very excited when I found out that I would get to spend the day at Knapp's Castle. I immediately began planning what I was going to wear. Now we didn't spend the entire day day there but we spent a good chunk, we also went to see some Indian cave paintings that date back thousands of years and we went to the Santa Barbara Zoo. These are some of the many perks you get living on the central coast.Knapp's castle was once a beautiful mansion in the making but burnt down before it was completed. So now its castle ruins and it truly is a beautiful place if you ever get the chance to visit it.
So here is the story with my outfit... I found the dress at the thrift store and for some reason I was very strangely attracted to it(which happens more often than not with my clothing) I bought it for fifty cents. It was ankle length when I got it and I knew it must be hemmed. Unfortunately I had never hemmed anything before but with some faith, trust, and a pair of scissors I got the job done! It actually turned out quite well and I was pleased with my work on it. I normally would wear this with black tights but due to the sheer amount of things we were doing I opted for the grey skinny jeans, not my first choice but they worked fine.
We also found this amazing vintage car that was set up to look like it had crashed. They do shoot a lot of films up at Knapp's so we figured it was a prop but we're not a 100% sure. Ethier way it was really cool so I jumped in and we took some shots.
Oh yes... this would be me sliding and falling to my death....
Not to worry I regained my composer.
At the end of the day it was a blast!
